Band Marino - American Patriot
Band Marino are an Orlando-based quintet that turned up in Tuneage’s inbox this week. From the first track I heard on their MySpace page — delightfully-named Every Time I Make A Girl Cry I Know I’ve Done My Job (with vocals very reminiscent of Jacqui Abbot) — I was hooked.
Just posted this on Tuneage. Sharing it here too, because it’s bloody great.
Related: This was sent to us by the band’s manager. Tuneage has been getting a lot of e-mails like that recently, and we love that we’re deemed important enough to get that kind of attention.
Another one sent recently by the band themselves (even better) was Two Shots of Rye — we haven’t posted it on Tuneage, because none of us really like it much (oops), but I’m sharing it here anyway, because it’s quite well-produced, and I’m sure someone will like them (it was mixed by the same bloke that did Brand New and Interpol’s latest, if it helps).
Tuneage also broke 800 followers today. Hurrah! Thanks for the follows, everyone.
